Final T-Shirt Variant 4 Of 4

This is the final shirt design. It isn’t a sneak peak, as it’s the actual illustration on a shirt that I was going to wear on opening night. This shirt design was interesting since the transparency layering colors didn’t get translated very well. I don’t blame StickerMule. In hindsight, I should have broken the color blocks with actual colors instead of transparencies. I may try another shirt to see if I can fix the transparency colors. This will be the second to last post. The last post is going to give a glimpse into the greater concept of Roost-Haven.

One Piece Show Reveal 2023

March 7, 2023: The one piece show should be in its first week. Other artists are revealing their work online in social platforms. I guess I’ll jump in and show mine. Below is the full image detail of my work.

Obviously, each artist can only have a single artwork piece for the show. I had created a bit more work which cannot be added to the show. It made sense to place the details of the extra work on my website.

This is t-shirt variant 3 of 4. A lot less color overall, but has the mystery shrouded more in dark color. This is probably the best shirt design in the series.

T-shirt Variant 1 of 4

Post Show: Wow! What a great turnout. I heard a lot of people say this is the most people they’ve seen at the CCIC. I had a great time meeting old friends and new people. I appreciate the time and energy that Scott Johnson and Bruce Dean and others put into the show.

Idea behind shirts: Why shirts? Originally, it was based on showing a sliver of the main piece. I thought why not just show a sliver of the main design? Why not have some variant designs which compose parts of the main design with less detail? I thought it would be fun to where the shirts over a couple of weeks at various get togethers. The weather wasn’t helping out. Hopefully this limited edition shirts will sell but if not, I’m going to have some awesome JVS merch for this summer.

T-Shirt Details: I produced 4 t-shirt designs for the show but ran out of time to figure a way to show them. I was going to wear one of the shirts, but it was raining pretty hard and didn’t seem like t-shirt weather to me. I’m placing 1 o 4 shirt variant designs here today. The production source was StickerMule. It was interesting to see how this firm could produce one-off shirt designs. Each shirt (Large Only) is for sale for $40. Shipping within the US included.

What’s Next: I will be posting the other 3 Variants every other day over the next week.

I was so excited to be illustrating again that I had created a bit more work which will NOT be displayed at the CCIC. However, I’m disclosing the details of the extra work here.
