Bungalow

The Bungalow is a small artistic home decor store located in an area of Indianapolis, Indiana called Broad ripple Village. I have been supporting the Bungalow with many graphic applications over its lifetime of 22 years.

The Bungalow logo is based on the cozy home focus of bungalow styled houses in the area of Broadripple. The polkadot pattern is to add to the whimsey nature of the approach to cozy and artful design to home decoration. The colors were chosen to influence the contrast and ‘high color’.

The original logo was 3 colors and meant to contrast on white space whenever possible. Over the years, application variation and budgets have forced the business to have more variants that allowed brand flexibility.

There were times where the Bungalow needed a single color application for single color newsprint ads or shopping bags. The powerful colorful polkadots have even been used alone for a gift-card application.
